Basel, Switzerland – January 09, 2020 – Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) and Carlotta 232 were back to their winning ways yesterday during the first day of competition at the Longines CSI Basel 5*-W in Switzerland.

The flying Italian and the dark bay 11-year-old Oldenburg mare (Chaccomo x Cento) galloped across the finish line flawlessly in 55.70 seconds to claim the CHF $30,000 BMW X7 Prize CSI 5*.

Bryan Balsiger (SUI) and Jenkins ter Doorn (Numero Uno x Sir Lui) were the runners-up, clearing all the 1.45m obstacles before stopping the timers of the speed challenge in 56.40 seconds.

Christian Ahlmann (GER) and Atomic Z (Cumano x Chin Chin) earned bronze honors, timed in 57.08 seconds.
