
Basel, Switzerland – January 09, 2020 – Recently World number one crowned rider, Martin Fuchs (SUI) got his campaign to a great start at the Longines CSI Basel 5*-W, winning the CHF $8,080 Gönnerclub Pferdesport Basel Prize CSI 5* today in Switzerland.
The Swiss and the 10-year-old Selle Français stallion (Vancouver DML x Nonstop) were supreme in the 1.40m speed challenge, securing the victory after a penalty-free performance in 62.01 seconds.
Gerard O’Neill (IRL) and Castlefield Vegas (ISH – Cassino x Lux Z) claimed silver honors with no penalties in 63.02 seconds.
Edwin Smits (SUI) and Lantaro von Hof (Ladirio von Hof x Lombard) earned bronze honors for the host nation backed by a clean effort just two-hundredths of a second slower than the latter two.
