Pieter Devos Retains Lead in Longines FEI Jumping World Cup – Western European League Standings

Brussels, Belgium – December 17, 2019 – Pieter Devos (BEL) has retained the lead in the 2020 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Western European League after the seventh leg of the league last Sunday during the CSI Casas Novas – A Coruña in La Coruña, Spain.

Even though he did not participate in the last event, the Belgian was able to secure the number one spot so far with a combined score 55 points this season. The same goes for Steve Guerdat (SUI) who was competing in Switzerland but is still second place seven points behind the leader.

After a second-place finish last Sunday, Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) scored 17 additional points, moving all the way up to third place, tallying 43 points until now.

Scott Brash (GBR) was another one who kept his score of 35 points intact due to competing at the CHI of Geneva, which relegated him to fourth place now.

After winning the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup La Coruña CSI 5*-W last Sunday, Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) scored the maximum possible of 20 additional points, bringing his total to 32 and a fifth place in the standings.
