
Lyon, France – November 02, 2019 – Julien Epaillard (FRA) and Virtuose Champeix won the €25,000 Boehringer-Ingelheim Prize CSI 5* last Saturday during the Longines Equita Lyon CSI 5*W/2* at the Salon du Cheval de Lyon in France.
The flying Frenchman was up to his old tricks again, this time claiming victory in the 1.50m speed challenge by guiding the 10-year-old chestnut Selle Français stallion (Rubin des Bruyeres x Avec Espoir) flawlless across the finish line in 57.35 seconds.

Olivier Perreau (FRA) and GL Events Dolce Deceuninck (Toulon x Cartier van de Heffinck) were the runners-up, just fourteenth-hundredths of a second slower than the eventual winners.

William Whitaker (GBR) & RMF Echo
William Whitaker (GBR) and RMF Echo (Virus de Laubry x Feo) rounded out the top three with no penalties and a time of 58.18 seconds.
