
Meise, Belgium – August 29, 2019 – Valentin Marcotte (FRA) and Kontessa Ten Braem won the €25,300 Scuderia 1918 Prize CSI 3* in the Top Series today during the first day of the Brussels Stephex Masters CSI 5*/3*2* at Stephex Stables in Meise, Belgium.
The Frenchman and the 9-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood mare (Cornet Obolensky x Leader) were supreme in the 1.45m speed challenge. Counting for the world ranking, riders went all in and quickest against the clock was Marcotte was able to guide Kontessa flawlessly, registering a winning time of 62.42 seconds.
Not too far behind, in 62.55, followed Marcotte’s compatriot Thierry Rozier (FRA) on Star (Singulord Joter x Caretino), taking the runner-up position.
Third place was claimed by Tiffany Foster (CAN) and Brighton (Contendro II x Quick Star), with a time of 62.92 seconds.
