
Gijón, Spain – August 28, 2019 – Ellen Whitaker (GBR) and Jack van’T Kattenheye won the €25,375 EMA Prize CSI 5* yesterday during the CSIO 5* of Gijón in Spain.
The Brit and Max Kuehner’s 10-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood gelding (Diabeau x Canadian River) were supreme in the 1.50m challenge, earning the victory after a penalty-free jump-off effort in 32.67 seconds.
Second place was claimed by Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida (POR) and Kafka vd Heffinck (Calvaro x Diamant de Semilly), the only difference being their time of 33.20 seconds during the tiebreaker.
Nicolas Toro (COL) and Desperado (Cardento x Lord Z) completed the podium, finishing only a half of a second behind the latter two.
