
Ascona, Switzerland – July 21, 2019 – Jos Verlooy (BEL) and Caracas won the €275,000 Longines Grand Prix of Ascona CSI 5*, presented by Bank Generali last Sunday during the Longines CSI Ascona 5*/2* in Ascona, Switzerland.

The Belgian and the 14-year-old grey stallion (Casall x Colman) left dust to the rest of the field, posting a flawless jump-off performance in 37.73 seconds.
Robert Whitaker (GBR) and Catwalk IV tried to give the eventual winners a run for the jackpot, finishing second due to their jump-off time of 39.33 seconds.
Elian Baumann (SUI) and Campari Z (Contact vd Heffinck x Platini M) were right on the heels of the runners-up, finishing third after being only twelve-hundredths slower than them during the decisive phase.
