Julien Epaillard & Virtuose Champeix Fly to Victory in €59,400 GCL Individual Speed Class CSI 5* at Longines Global Champions Tour of Chantilly

Chantilly, France – July 12, 2019 – Julien Epaillard (FRA) and Virtuose Champeix won the €59,400 First GCL Individual Speed Class CSI 5* yesterday during the Longines Global Champions Tour of Chantilly CSI 5* in Chantilly, France.

The flying Frenchman honored his nickname once again, guiding the 10-year-old chestnut Selle Français stallion (Rubins des Bruyeres x Avec Espoir) to victory by clearing all the 1.50m/1.55m obstacles and crossing the finish line in 65.09 seconds for the victory.

It was a one-two for the host nation as Kevin Staut (FRA) and Urhelia Lutterbach (Heliso de la Cour II x Emilion) completed their performance flawlessly in 69.32 seconds.

Darragh Kenny (IRL) and Romeo (Contact van de Heffinck x Orlando) rounded out the top three backed by a clean scorecard and a time of 69.57 seconds.
