Calgary, Alberta, Canada – July 04, 2019 – Rodrigo Lambre (BRA) and Chapilot won the $36,100 Bantrel Cup CSI 5* yesterday during the ‘North American‘ at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Province of Alberta, Canada.

The rainy weather started to  let up for the final competition of day two of the ‘North American’ Tournament, presented by Rolex. The 1.45m challenge on the International Ring showcased nineteen horse/rider combinations representing eight countries.

Brazil’s Rodrigo Lambre (BRA) had been having a great summer series with multiple top ten placings, but he had yet to find his way to the winner’s circle. Aboard the 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding (Chacco-Blue x Pilot), Lambre laid down a lightning fast time of 58.59 seconds that could not be caught and claimed victory in the final competition of the day.

Pedro Antonio Mateos Bernaldez (ESP) and Arcange de L’Arc (Nabab de Reve x Diamant de Semilly) were the closest ones, finishing second due to their time of 61.97 seconds.

Beezie Madden (USA) and Hannah (Dulf van den Bisschop x Kashmir van Schuttershof) completed the podium with no penalties, timed in 62.20 seconds.
