Calgary, Alberta, Canada – June 27, 2019 – The second $36,100 Friends of the Meadows Cup CSI 5*  brought fifty-two competitors to the North American Ring yesterday during the ‘Pan American‘ at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Canada. Quintin Maertens (DEN) tested this group in a two-phase competition where twenty-nine jumped clean through phase one.

The wet weather proved to be no obstacle for Daniel Coyle (IRL) and Leilani. A clear performance throughout the two phases of the 1.45m challenge and a timeof 24.64 seconds in phase two was untouchable and he would get his second win of the day.

Carlos Hank Guerreiro (MEX) and Quantador 3 (Quinta Real x Cornet Oblensky) claimed second place without having any penalties attributed to them, crossing the finish line in 25.98 seconds.

Pedro Antonio Mateos Bernaldez (ESP) and Botero (Eurocommerce Berlin x Concerto II) completed the podium with no penalties, just nine-hundredths of a second behind the latter two.
