Calgary, Alberta, Canada – June 09, 2019 – The final day of the Spruce Meadows ‘National’ presented by Rolex started with the $15,000 AON Classic CSI 5*  speed competition. Competitors took on the track designed by FEI Course designer Leopoldo Palacious (VEN) that featured various fences from past championships including Olympic, Pan American Games and World Equestrian Games.

Arturo Parada Vallejo (MEX) aboard Cornet’s Dream (Cornet Obolensky x Rabanna v. Clostersved) produced the quickest round with a time of 83.050  laying claim to victory in the competition. This is Parada’s first trip to the Spruce Meadows Summer Series.

It was one-two for Mexico as Francisco Pasquel (MEX) and Naranjo (Robin II x Danseuse du Canet) were faster (79.87 seconds)  but the one pole down for four penalty-points meant a total socre of 83.87 seconds.

Paola Amilibia (ESP) and V.I.P. (Berlin x Diamant de Semilly) completed the podium with no penalties in 84.940 seconds.
