Calgary, Canada – June 06, 2019 – The competition started early on the International Ring day two of the 2019 ‘National’ presented by Rolex with the $36,100 Friends of the Meadows Cup CSI 5*. Fifty horse/rider combinations competed in the one round 1.45m competition against the clock, trying to produce the fastest clear round.

A familiar face to Spruce Meadows, Eduardo Menezes (BRA) and his speedy mare H5 Caruschka 2 (Caspar x Continue) were the only combination to produce a clear round and break the seventy-second mark with a quick time of 69.27 seconds.

Daniel Coyle (IRL) and Farrel (Cardento x Stakkato) also registered a penalty-free performance, earning second place honors in 70.60 seconds.

Luis Pedro Biraben (ARG) & Caillou (Campesino x Galoubet A) secured third place with no penalties and a time of 72.08 seconds.
