Valkenswaard, The Netherlands – May 21, 2019 – David Will (GER) and Forest Gump flew to victory in the €25,500 Speed Class CSI 2* last Tuesday at the Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard, The Netherlands.

The German and the 13-year-old bay Oldenburg gelding (Forsyth x Feuerwerk) claimed top honors in the 1.45m challenge by overcoming all the obstacles and registering a penalty-free performance in 61.72 seconds.

When asked how and where in the course he took the lead David said that the answer all lays in the name of the horse. “I didn’t do anything speciaal, he is just incredibly fast. He may be small, but he has a big heart.” Will rides Forest Gump for one year and Cannes was one of the first competitions for the combination last year.

The runners-up were Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (BRA) and J-Figyelem (Vingino x Animo), going through the timers in 64.95 seconds.

Jos Verlooy (BEL) & Vendôme Palordet (Kannan x Quat’sous) were also clear, securing third place in 67.30 seconds.
