Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico – May 07, 2019 – Rodrigo Lambre (BRA) ruled the MXN $1,020,000 Xalapa Cup CSI 5* last Sunday during the Coapexpan CSIO 5* at the Club Hípico Coapexpan in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico.

It turned out to be an unforgettable class for the Brazilian, who not only won the 1.50m jump-off class but also claimed second place as well. He earned top honors aboard Catokia, Ludger Beerbaum Stables’ 12-year-old bay Westphalian mare (Catoki x Coriall), crossing the finish line in 40.64 seconds for the victory.

Lambre rode Chacciama (Chacco-Blue x Andiamo Z) to second place by being the only other combination that registered two penalty-free performances, timed in 42.33 seconds during the tiebreaker.

Salvador Oñate (MEX) and Beautiful Red (Casall x Colman) were faster, but unfortunately their time of 40.27 seconds came at the expense of one rail down and four penalty-points, meaning that they would have to settle for third place.
