
Tianjin, China – May 01, 2019 – Patrick Lam (HKG) and Newtime de Baussy jumped to victory in the CNY $240,000 Grand Prix CSI 2*-W last Wednesday during the first leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ – China League in Tianjin, China.
Lam and the 18-year-old chestnut Selle Français stallion (Concorde x Grand Veneur) were the faster duo of between only two combinations that cleared all the 1.50m obstacles and registered no penalties at the end of their two performances, securing the victory in 48.32 seconds.
Yuxing Ma (CHN) and Elly van de Boslandhoeve (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Lancier) were the only other ones to have no penalties attributed to them, completing their second effort in 53.45 seconds.
Jirigala Erdeng (CHN) and Brikibo vd Bosbeek (Concorde x Ircolando) completed the podium as the faster of the two combinations that had qualified for the jump-off, registering four penalty-points and a time of 46.10 seconds during the tiebreaker.
