Hagen, Germany – April 28, 2019 – In the €50,650 LVM Insurance Prize CSI 4*, also valid as the qualification for the Bemer-Riders Tour leg, Michael Jung (GER) was unbeatable. Riding his small but speedy eleven-year-old Westphalian mare FischerChelsea (Check In x Argent), the Olympic, World and European Eventing Champion had the fastest clear jump-off round among 16 starters.

The winning duo overcame all the obstacles and stopped the timers in 36.79 seconds to claim the victory during the tiebreaker.

Jung placed ahead of French rider Julien Epaillard (FRA) on Quincy Lady (Quintender 2 x Lordanos), who registered no penalties and crossed the finish line in 37.57 seconds.

Young local hero, Max Haunhorst (GER) on Chaccara (Chacco-Blue x Quidam de Revel) secured the third spot on the podium backed by their second penalty-free performance, going through the timers in 37.63 seconds. “We have enjoyed some great sport today and I am especially happy about Michael Jung’s win, I am from the south of Germany myself and we have to stick together,“ says Johanna Marheineke of LVM.

FischerChelsea and Jung have had a great run, they were also victorious in the Grand Prix of Dortmund and in the Braunschweig championships. Today they added the main event at Horses & Dreams meets France, also the qualifier for the Grand Prix of the Deutsche Kreditbank AG and first leg of the Bemer Riders Tour.

“The mare is on fire, super motivated and fresh. She loves jumping and she’s super fast and agile in the jump off,“ says Michael Jung (GER). “Hagen is a great event to start the outdoor season, because we can also compete our young horses, and it has been great exchanging views with the other jumping riders and helping each other before the jump off.” Looks like Michael Jung (GER) has already established himself well with the showjumping crowd.
