New York, New York, USA – April 26, 2019 – Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA) and Farrero won the $35,700 Champagne Barons de Rothschild Prize CSI 2* yesterday during the Longines Masters of New York CSI 5*/2* at the NYCB Live – Nassau Coliseum.
The Brazilian and the 9-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood gelding (Boss x Indorado) galloped towards victory in the speed challenge by leaving all the 1.45m obstacles up for no penalties, going through the timers in 57.61 seconds.
Second place was claimed by Madison Goetzmann (USA) and Prestigious (Con Cento x Corofino) after a penalty-free performance in 60.42 seconds.
Katherine “Katie” Dinan (USA) and Atika des Hauts Vents secured third place, finishing only two-tenths behind the latter two.
