‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands – March 21, 2019 – An emotional ceremony during The Dutch Masters – Indoor Brabant CSI 5* last Sunday marked the retirement of Jeroen Dubbeldam’s (NED) SFN Zenith. As a sign of gratitude for all of the Dubbeldam’s accomplishments aboard the gelding, the owners of the horse, Springpaarden Fonds Nederland, gave the horse to him.
Together, the Dutchman and the 15-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood (Rash x Fuego du Prelet) wrote history, winning both Individual and Team Gold at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, France. Moreover, they went on to win the 2015 European Individual Championship and just missed qualifying for the jump-off at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games by two-hundredths of a second, eventually finishing in seventh place.
