
Julien Epaillard (FRA) and Safari d’Auge won the €26,000 Absolute Horses Trophy CSI 3* yesterday during the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour‘s Spring MET II in Oliva Nova, Valencia, Spain.
The Frenchman and the 13-year-old bay Selle Français stallion (Diamant de Semilly – Marquise Du Grimeux) topped eighty-seven other combinations in the 1.45m two-phase class, registering no penalties and a final time of 25.15 seconds.
Second place was claimed by Lieven Devos (BEL) and Inca’s Big Think (Beaulieu’s Think Big x Lanciano), the only difference being their final time of 27.48 seconds.
Giulia Martinengo Marquet (ITA) and Casper vd Rode Poelhove (Casall x Quinar) rounded out the top three, having no penalties attributed to them after crossing the second timers in 27.61 seconds.
