Marco Kutscher (GER) and Charco won the €65,990 Championat of Leipzig CSI 5* last Saturday during the Partner Pferd – Leipzig CSI 5*-W in Leipzig, Germany.

In an usual twist of fate, the German and the 10-year-old bay Westphalian stallion (Chin Quin x Dorada T Klomp Z) won the 1.50m jump-off class even after having one pole down for four penalty-points in the decisive phase, being timed in 44.49 seconds.

Christian Ahlmann (GER) and Take a Chance On Me Z (Taloubet Z x Aldatus Z) were the only other combination to have made it to the jump-off, finishing second with a total of 17 penalty-points in 54.32 seconds in the tiebreaker.

Daniel Deusser (GER) and Jasmien vd Bisschop (Larino x Chin Chin) completed the all-German podium with one time-penalty due to their time of 60.22 seconds.
