
Julien Epaillard (FRA) and Safari D’Auge won the €25,500 Emiralia Horse Corporation Trophy CSI 2* yesterday during the first week of competition at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva Nova, Spain.
The flying Frenchman and the 12-year-old bay Selle Français gelding (Diamant de Semilly – Marquise Du Grimeux) galloped towards victory once again, by advancing to and completing the second phase of the 1.45m challenge flawlessly, crossing the finish line in 27.81 seconds.
Sören Pedersen (DEN) and Tailormade Chabalou (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) were the runners-up with no penalties, stopping the final timers in 29.21 seconds.
Diana Marsá-Lafarge (ESP) and Andi D’Emiralia (Diamant de Semilly – Kambera Vilelongue) secured the third spot on the podium after bein only eleven-hundredths of a second slower than the latter two.
