The selective course in the €80,000 endowed Sportland Salzburg Grand Prix CSI 4*, presented by MUKI at the 13th Amadeus Horse Indoors CSI 4*, held  over a height of 1.60 m and very demanding from the first to the last jum, requiring extreme concentration of riders and horses. The eagerly awaited zero round in the first round came and in the end exactly ten of the 38 pairs of participants, who thus  the victory in the jump-off.

Finally, Tobias Meyer (GER) and the 10-year-old Oldenburg mare Queentina (Coupe de Coeur x Quidam’s Rubin) from Gestüt Sprehe were in first place with a perfect lap in 45.94 seconds. The Schleswig Holsteiner secured with this third victory in the context of the Amadeus Horse Indoors 2018, €20,000 winner, but also valuable world ranking points. The visibly moved Tobias Meyer (GER) was overjoyed with this 4-star Grand Prix victory at the Amadeus Horse Indoors CSI 4*, which is the highlight of his career so far: “I am very proud to be able to ride in front of such a great audience. The fact that I won here is my biggest success so far. I also thank the Sprehe family, who provide me with this horse. I’ve always said she’s the best horse I’ve ever ridden and I like that when things are not going so well. “

Tobias Meyer (GER) won in 2006 with team gold at the European Championships of Young Riders. In 2016 he finished fifth at the German Championships in Balve. The 4-star Grand Prix victory in Salzburg is the biggest success so far in the career of the 30-year-old, who works as a rider on Gestüt Sprehe. In Salzburg Tobias Meyer was the last time in 2013 in the World Final of the European Youngster Cup U-25 victorious.

Second-place honors in the Sportland Salzburg Grand Prix CSI 4* was claimed by 39-year-old  was Wilm Vermeir (BEL) and his 10-year-old Belgian gelding Iq van het Steentje (0 / 47.30). Third was the 28-year-old Emma Augier de Moussac (CZE) on the ten-year KWPN mare Diva (0 / 48.50). The Czech also had already been victorious in the Amadeus Horse Indoors 2018, namely in the world ranking competition for the price of GPS (1.50) on Saturday (08.12.).

Julia Houtzager-Kayser (AUT) provided the best result by an Austrian point, but she did not have a good in the jump-off with her Nations Cup horse Cayetano Z and finished tenth (18 / 64.48).

For the 13th time the Amadeus Horse Indoors was a party for the whole family from 06. – 09. December. 42,000 visitors experienced four days of equestrian equestrian sports with 800 horses in more than 100 jumping, dressage, eventing and driving competitions as well as two World Cup stages in dressage and vaulting. 500 nimble dogs impressed in the Agility World Cup, a great show with superstars like Laurent Galinier, Mica Köppel and the stalwarts of the Compulsion Impulsion rounded off the weekend with lots of shopping and kid’s fun!
