The London Knights clinched the GCL Championship of 2018 last weekend during the Global Champions League of Doha CSI 5* at Al Shaqab in Doha, Qatar. The team from Great Britain solidified their commading season by claiming the final leg of the tour series and is automatically qualified for the semi-finals of the GCL Super Cup at the €12 million GC Playoffs next month in Prague, Czechoslovakia.
Ben Maher (GBR) and Explosion (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) and Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) and H&M Chilli Willi (Casall x Lord) were very consistent throughout the year. Emily Moffitt (GBR), Martin Fuchs (SUI) and Olivier Philippaerts (BEL) also played a vital role in the team’s spectacular season. The five victories in the year gave them a huge advantage over their closest rivals, 40 points ahead of the Valkenswaard United.
