Jose Antonio Chedraui & La Bamba Prance & Dance their Way to Victory in $1,000,000 Banorte Grand Prix CSI 3* at Club Hípico La Silla

The La Silla CSI 3* came to an end yesterday in grand fashion with its main class taking place at the Club Hípico La Silla in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.

The much awaited MXN $1,000,000 Banorte Grand Prix CSI 3* had 46 combinations had registered for participation, yet, with some of them choosing not to compete, a few others were either eliminated or retired in the first round.

A total of 8 pairings cleared all the obstacles set up on the course designed by Guilherme Jorge (BRA), registering no penalties, thus qualifying for the jump-off.

Jose Antonio Chedraui Eguia (MEX) & La Bamba

To the delight of the their countrymen present, Jose Antonio Chedraui Eguia (MEX) and his 13-year-old chestnut Swiss Sport Horse mare La Bamba (Lordanos x Chameur),  pranced and danced their way to victory, posting their second flawless performance, crossing the finish line in 38.08 seconds.

Patricio Pasquel (MEX) and Pomerol claimed silver honors, matching the winners’ penalty-free jump-off run, yet doing so in 39.03 seconds.

Federico Fernandez (MEX) and Davidoff completed the all-Mexican podium as the only other combination with a clean scorecard, registering a time of 41.24 seconds during the tiebreaker.
