The legendary German rider and the 14-year-old chestnut Hannoverian stallion (For Pleasure x Stakkato) earned top honors in the 1.55m jump-off challenge by leaving all the poles up and completing their final run in 33.51 seconds.
Wilton Porter (USA) and Caletto Cabanna (San Patrignano Cassini x Capecanaveral) were the closest ones, finishing second only due to their jump-off time of 33.67 seconds.
Felix Hassmann (GER) and Balzaci (Balou du Rouet x Ex Libris) secured the third spot on the podium with no penalties, going through the timers in 34.54 seconds during the tiebreaker.
