Cian O’Connor (IRL) has taken over the reins of Lady Cracotte, a 10-year-old Italian Sport Horse mare (Quaprice x Galoubet A) that has been simply spectacular since Niels Bruynseels (BEL) started riding her in late April.
Together, the Belgian and the chestnut mare simply took the top of the sport by storm. They won right from the start of the partnership, claiming the Grand Prix CSI 2* at Bonheiden in just their third FEI-level class together, followed by another Grand Prix CSI 2* victory in Lier less than one month later.
The mare was challenged when put to the test at higher level and she proved her worthiness again. A second-place finish at 1.50m class during the Longines Global Champions Tour of Cannes CSI 5*, a win in the Stawag Prize CSI 5* at Aachen, followed by two more wins while competing in theLongines Global Champions Tour of Valkenswaard CSI 5* and Longines Global Champions Tour of Rome CSI 5*. She completed the feat of skyrocketing to the top of the spot by winning the €270,000 Grand Prix CSI 5* last Sunday during the Waregem Horse Week in Belgium.
Niels Bruynseels made the following statement on his Facebook page:
“Cracky, 5 months ago you were quite a challenge… But it is more than exceptional what you achieved in those 5 months! From 1m45 classes to 1m60 classes…”
1st place Grand Prix of Bonheiden CSI 2*
1st place Grand Prix of Lier CSI 2*
1st place Sunday’s Grand Prix of Rome CSI 5*
1st place Grand Prix of Waregem CSI 5*
And so much more…
“Thank you for all the beautiful moments you gave to our team.”
“Best of luck in your future sport career and I’m sure you will be in many prize givings with your new rider Cian O’Connor.”
“Thank you Lady Cracotte!!”
