António Matos de Almeida (POR) & Irene van de Kwachthoeve claimed top honors in the €24.750 1.45m Longines Ranking class yesterday during the Vilamoura Champions Tour at the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre in Quarteira, Faro, Portugal.

The Portuguese rider and the 10-year-old chestnut Belgian Warmblood mare (Griseldi x Tresor d’Opaline) took the lead for good in the speed challenge by completing the course with no penalties, going through the timers in 58.57 seconds.

Taylor Alexander (USA) & Ryanair de Riverland were the runners-up, the only difference being their time of 58.91 seconds.

Laura Kraut (USA) & Deauville (Diamant de Semilly x Lux Z) rounded out the top three backed by a penalty-free performance in 59.54 seconds.
