
Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) and J’Adore van het Schaeck won the first qualifier class at the Belgian Senior Jumping Championships, being held during the Zangersheide – FEI / WBSFH World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken, Belgium.
The Belgian and the 9-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood mare (Vagabond de La Pomme x Darco) triumphed in the speed and handiness challenge by leaving all the poles up and completing the course in 71.15 seconds.
It was a one-two for the Philippaerts family as Olivier Philippaerts (BEL) and H&M Extra (Berlin x Heartbreaker) earned silver honors backed by a penalty-free run in 71.60 seconds.
Jeroen Appelen (BEL) and Grappeloup van het Reenhof (Larino x Kashmir van Schuttershof) rounded out the top three, finishing only four-hundredths of a second slower than the latter two.
