Gregory Wathelet (BEL) & Sandero won the €25,600 Grand Prix CSI 2* today at the Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard, The Netherlands.
The Belgian and the 9-year-old chestnut Holsteiner gelding (Sandro Boy x Cassini I) were simply flawless throughout the two rounds of the 1.45m jump-off challenge, completing their second performance in 35.85 seconds during the tiebreaker.
Bertram Allen (IRL) & Calafrieda (Canto 16 x Lavall) were the runners-up with no penalties and a jump-off time of 36.22 seconds.
Pieter Devos (BEL) & Jade van de Bisschop (Ogano Sitte x Grannus) were right behind, finishing just one-hundredth of a second slower than the latter two, good enough for bronze honors.
