The Valkenswaard United have taken the lead in the overall standings of the 2018 Global Champions League after a second-place finish in the second leg of the championship at Miami Beach CSI 5* last Saturday. The team from the Netherlands has been the most consistent one since the beginning of the team league just over two years again and this season has been no different.
With two top three finishes in the first two contests, the Blue and Orange have a total of 46 points. The biggest gain in the leaderboard was made by the Prague Lions, scoring 30 points to bring their total to 43 points and move up to the second position.
Former leaders, the Miami Celtics were not able to repeat their winning performance as in Mexico, finishing only in 13th place. This result gave them 9 additional points and 39 for the year, securing the third spot among the seventeen teams so far.
