
Michael Hughes (USA) & Zerlin M registered their second major victory of the week by claiming top honors in the Gold 3 1.45m jump-off class yesterday during Sprint MET III at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva Nova, Spain.
The American and the 14-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood stallion (Caspar x Concorde) claimed the victory for good by leaving all the poles on their cups throughout their both performances, completing their second penalty-free effort in 33.46 seconds.
Justine Tebbel (GER) & Grundig Baltimore (Chellano x Wiensender) clinched the second spot on the podium with no penalties and a time of 35.20 seconds during the tiebreaker.
Kim Emmen (NED) & Flock (Spartacus x Sambucco) rounded out the top three by registering no faults, going through the finish line in 35.86 seconds during the decisive phase.
