Chloe Reid’s Codarco Passes Away

2018. News Chloe Reid's Codarco Passes Away

Sadly, Chloe Reid’s (USA) Codarco has passed away. The 11-year-old Irish Sport Horse stallion (Darco x Orame) and the American had teamed up for several several great achievements together, mainly four clear rounds at the Falsterbo Horse Show CSIO 5* in Sweden, resulting into a third place in the Grand Prix CSI 5*. They also registered penalty-free performances while defending the stars and stripes in Sopot and Wellington, besides several top placings.

Chloe made the following heartbreaking statement on her Instagram account:

“Dear Cody,

The day I first sat on you was the worst trial I have ever had. I was so incredibly nervous and intimidated by your power that I couldn’t find a distance. I will never forget how we trotted into the combination and crashed out through the oxer, yet you continued to keep jumping and safely carry me around. While I’ve had numerous riders tell me over the years that they tried and passed on the opportunity to purchase you, I will feel forever fortunate that you choose me to be your rider. Even though you could have had way more success with any of the more experienced riders, I was the lucky one who got to take you home.”

“Thank you for being my partner of a lifetime.”
“You are leaving so many people heartbroken and one little girl who will never forget you.”

“Rest easy my fluffy minion”

“Please respect his honor and my team to gather all the answers of why we lost him so soon.”

Our sincere wishes of comfort to both Chloe and her team for such an irreplaceable loss.
