
Harrie Smolders (NED) & Emerald N.O.P. were victorious in the €120,000 Grand Prix Land Rover – Mairie de Bordeaux Trophy CSI 5*-W last Sunday during the Jumping International de Bordeaux CSI 5*-W in France.
The Dutchman and the 14-year-old chestnut Belgian Warmblood stallion (Diamant de Semilly x Carthago Z) claimed the victory by overcoming all the obstacles set at a maximum height of 1.60 meters for the second time, registering the fastest time of 33.06 seconds, thus outperforming 13 other combinations in the decisive phase.
It was a 1-2 for The Netherlands as Jur Vrieling (NED) & VDL Glasgow van het Merelsnest (Nabab de Reve x Udarco) secured the second spot on the podium with no penalties, crossing the finish line in 33.62 seconds during the tiebreaker.
Simon Delestre (FRA) & Gain Line (Stolzenberg x Raphael) gave the home crowd something to cheer about after conquering the third spot on the podium backed by a fault-free jump-off performance in 34.60 seconds.
