Verona, Italy – November 06, 2026 – Among the most anticipated on the eve of Jumping Verona, the French athletes made their intentions clear from day one. After Mégane Moissonnier’s (FRA) success in the prize presented by KASK, Julien Epaillard ‘s (FRA) came next.

The very strong French rider confirmed that he is one of the most competitive and fastest riders in international show jumping by winning the €56,800 Gruppo Selleria Equipe Prize CSI 5*-W with the phenomenal Donatello d’Auge, a timed category with obstacles of 1 metre and 55 centimetres.

For Epaillard, a regular at Jumping Verona, this is his fourth victory in front of the Fieracavalli crowd, after his first in 2009 and two in 2023.

Completing the ‘blues’ celebration was another very fast rider, Simon Delestre (FRA) who on Crazy Daisy 13 was slower than his compatriot by just a few hundredths (0; 63.12).

**Daniel Deusser** (GER) & **Navarro van het Eelshof**

Third and fourth place went to two other athletes to watch closely: Germans Daniel Deusser (GER) with Navarro van het Eelshof (0; 63.60) and Richard Vogel (GER) with Cherano 3 (0; 65.96). The best of the Italians, finally, was Roberto Previtali (ITA), who placed himself in the top ten of the rankings aboard Conthargo-Blue (7th place – 0; 67.72).

“It was a great race,” commented Epaillard, who stopped the clock at 62.53 seconds . “Donatello is a very experienced horse. I felt like I could ask him to go fast and take some risks, especially on the penultimate jump, perhaps the most complicated. But he was impeccable. Donatello is 13 years old and had a long break this summer. Upon his return to Saint-Tropez, he performed well in the Nations Cup and then in the Barcelona Grand Prix. So I can only say that he is really back in good shape. And this certainly bodes well for the rest of the indoor season.” As always, very determined to seek victory, Epaillard commented: “Yes, I always try to win. It’s not always possible, but I always try.”
