Lyon, France – October 29, 2026 – A fantastic Friday gave French fans what they paid for at the 2026 Longines Equita Lyon CSI 5*-W & CSI 2*. Serving as the appetizer before the €105,500 Longines Grand Prix CSI 5*-W, the €28,764 Groupama Prize CSI 5*-W, a 1.50-metre class against the clock, the Marseillaise rang out once again in honour of Nicolas Cizeron‘s (FRA) win.

The French rider, who lives in Belgium, made a fine début in Lyon by recording the fastest clear round on Filae du Clos (66.69″), securing his first victory in a CSI 5* competition in the process. “After the Saut Hermès, this is just the second time I have taken part in a CSI 5* competition; I’d really like to thank Sylvie Robert for giving me the chance to ride here. I’m really pleased that I managed to put into practice what I had planned and that it worked out as I had hoped.”
