The Morocco Royal Tour Continues its Journey in Rabat this Week

Rabat, Morocco – October 8, 2026 – After its stop in Tetouan, the 2026 Morocco Royal Tour is in Rabat for the second week of the circuit. Competition resumes today with the CSI 2* and CSIO 4*-W, featuring no fewer than 264 horses and more than 100 riders. The highlights of the weekend will be Friday’s Grand Prix CSIO 4*-W at 1.55m and Sunday afternoon’s Nations Cup CSIO 4*-W.

A Strong Start List in Rabat

The Morocco Royal Tour continues to build momentum as it heads into its second week of competition in Rabat, with a particularly strong line-up of riders.

In the CSIO 4*-W, Belgium will notably be able to rely on the highly experienced Jérôme Guéry, runner-up at the 2022 World Championships. Brazil will be represented by some of its top riders, including Yuri Mansur (BRA), who is currently in excellent form, as well as Luiz Felipe Neto de Azevedo (BRA).

A loyal supporter of the Moroccan circuit, France will field Arthur Le Vot (FRA), Alix Ragot (FRA), Cyril Bouvard (FRA) and Jeanne Sadran (FRA), who finished fourth in the Prix de S.A.R. le Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan* CSIO4*-W in Rabat. Antoine Ermann (FRA) and Olivier Perreau (FRA), members of the French team at the most recent World Championships, will also be competing.

Greece’s Ioli Mytilineou (GRE), runner-up in the Tetouan Grand Prix, Italy’s Emanuele Camilli (ITA) and Spain’s Armando Trapote (ESP) will also be in action. Switzerland’s Anthony Bourquard (SUI) will be looking to continue his winning form. Following his victory in the Tetouan Grand Prix, he will undoubtedly be eager to make it two in a row. Among those joining him, Alexandra Amar (SUI) and Edouard Schmitz (SUI) will also be flying the red-and-white Swiss flag.

Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine and Ireland will also have riders competing in the arena at Dar Es Salam.

Competing on home soil and in front of their home crowd, Morocco will be the most represented nation, with 17 riders. Among them are the experienced El Ghali Boukaa (MAR), Abdeslam Bennani Smires (MAR), Ali Al Ahrach (MAR) and Abdelkebir Ouaddar (MAR), as well as Jad Guerraoui (MAR), in whom the Moroccan federation has high hopes.

Taking advantage of the three weeks of competition, many CSIO 4*-W riders are using the tour as an opportunity to bring along new mounts or young horses still in training. The CSI2* will therefore see some of the world’s leading riders go head-to-head with the next generation of talent.
