Gijón, Spain – August 28, 2026 – The €30,000 Volvo Trophy Speed CSI 4* has served as the day’s grand finale. Only suitable for the top 30 horse-and-rider combinations from the CSI 4*, the class featured a maximum height of 1.45 meters and courses that allowed for long gallops while demanding tight turns.
Risk-taking and agility were on full display as competitors sought to clear every obstacle in record time. Among the field were some of the most competitive pairings, such as Emanuele Camilli (ITA) with Casabea Blue PS, Barbara Schnieper (SUI) with Toronto Raptor, and Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida (POR) with Comme Le Coeur.

Belgian rider Constant van Paesschen (BEL), riding Diaz du Thot led the competition from the half of the class. In fact, this same pair had won this speed class in the previous edition. However, the situation changed on Saturday when Yuri Mansur (BRA) entered the arena with My Lady LaVista. Then Brazilian rider beat the Belgian’s time and claimed victory in the big class of the day.

2) Constant van Paesschen (BEL) & Diaz du Thot – 0 / 0 – 61.54
