Olivier Robert Claims the Maeza Grand Prix CSI 3*

Sariego, Spain – July 05, 2026 – The 57,000 Maeza Grand Prix CSI 3* brought the 2026 edition of the CSI 3* at Yeguada Finca Maeza to a close, with four horse-and-rider combinations qualifying for the jump-off. In the decisive round, experience proved decisive as one of France’s leading riders, Olivier Robert (FRA), produced another clear round in 44.10 seconds aboard Iglesias D.V.. Riding last to go, he edged out Japanese Olympian Eiken Sato (JPN), who finished second with Campai 3 in 46.03 seconds.

The other two riders to qualify for the jump-off were Spain’s Javier González Fraga (ESP) and Eduardo Álvarez Aznar (ESP). Both incurred a single rail down in the final round. González Fraga took third place aboard Sonic JGF with a time of 41.44 seconds, while Álvarez Aznar (ESP), who knocked down the final fence, finished fourth with Qevita Vd Bisschop in 75.07 seconds.

Another young Spanish rider, Pablo Valle, also jumped clear in the opening round with Capucine du Marais. However, two time penalties prevented him from advancing to the jump-off, leaving him in fifth place overall.

Following the competition, the prize-giving ceremony took place, with Olivier Robert receiving the winner’s trophy at the top of the Maeza podium from Cruz Maestre, Director of Yeguada Finca Maeza. She was joined by Christina Bares and Estanislao Fuentes on behalf of Yeguada Finca Maeza, together with Álvaro Arrieta, President of Oxer Sport.

It was a fitting conclusion to an outstanding competition, with the Maeza Grand Prix providing the perfect finale after a thrilling and highly competitive class.
