The countdown has begun. On July 5, the SLF Summer Auction opens its virtual doors with a carefully selected collection of foals, young showjumping talents, and experienced sport horses, offering opportunities for every type of buyer.
Whether you’re searching for your next Grand Prix prospect, a talented young horse to develop, a safe and competitive partner, or a well-bred foal for the future, this summer’s collection has something to offer.
The auction is divided into two groups:
Young Horses & Foals: July 5-7
Ridden Horses & Foals: July 5-8
Founded by Olympic rider Harrie Smolders, horseman Walter Lelie, and horse dealer Niels Fabrie, the SLF Auction has built a strong reputation by combining extensive horse knowledge with an uncompromising focus on quality. Every horse is personally selected by the three founders, whose philosophy remains unchanged.
“We have never focused on just one type of buyer,” says Walter Lelie. “Our goal has always been to offer a collection that appeals to a wide audience, from breeders and young horse enthusiasts to ambitious amateurs and professional riders. What still drives us today is the excitement of finding exceptional horses and matching them with the right people. We hope every buyer can find a horse that helps them succeed at their own level.”
That philosophy is clearly reflected in this year’s summer collection.
Among the ridden horses are several experienced competitors with mileage at 1.35m and 1.40m, alongside a large group of talented, rideable and uncomplicated 5, 6 and 7-year-olds with bright futures ahead. The collection also includes an attractive hunter, while the young horse section features an exceptionally talented group of free jumpers and youngsters already showing their talents under a rider.
The foal collection combines modern performance pedigrees with eye-catching quality. One of the standouts is Json by Roosberg Z, a striking colt by J-Nius Z whose distinctive markings and outstanding pedigree immediately capture attention. Buyers will also find exciting offspring by internationally proven and emerging sires including Ermitage Kalone, Chacco Blue, Highway TN, and the highly promising Tiger van’t Ruytershof.
As always, every horse is presented with extensive (veterinary) information and professional photos and videos, allowing buyers from around the world to evaluate the collection from wherever they are.
Prospective buyers are welcome to see the horses in person and try them before the auction. Simply contact one of the founders to arrange a viewing or trial. Buyers are also welcome to have their own veterinarian perform a pre-purchase examination or retake X-rays for additional peace of mind.
Whether you’re looking for your next competition partner, an exciting youngster to develop, or a future breeding prospect, the SLF Summer Auction offers a carefully selected collection where quality comes first.
The full collection is now available to view at www.slf.auction. Interested buyers are encouraged to explore the horses early, shortlist their favorites, and register in advance before bidding opens on July 5.
