Calgary, Canada – June 28, 2026 – Mexico’s Juan Pablo Gaspar Albañez and Kacentano RA claimed top honors in the $36,232 Coril Holdings Grand Prix CSI2* during the Pan American Tournament CSI 5* & CSI 2* at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Canada. The 1.45m jump-off challenge tested both precision and speed, with the winning pair producing the fastest double-clear performance to secure victory in an exciting finale.

Thirty horse-and-rider combinations tackled the first-round course, where accuracy proved to be at a premium. Only nine combinations managed to qualify for the jump-off, and from that select group, just four riders were able to repeat their faultless performance over the shortened course. With multiple double-clear rounds on the scoreboard, the final placings were ultimately decided against the clock.

Gaspar Albañez and Kacentano RA stopped the timers in a winning 39.64 seconds, edging out the American combination of Avery Griffin (USA) and Bodega Semilly, who also jumped two clear rounds and finished second in 40.14 seconds. Another American partnership, Kyle King and Ninja BF, completed the podium after delivering their own double-clear effort in 40.20 seconds, just fractions of a second behind Griffin.

The competitive class highlighted the depth of talent on display throughout the CSI 2* competition at Spruce Meadows. While the technical first-round track significantly reduced the field for the jump-off, the riders who returned delivered an entertaining race against the clock, with Gaspar Albañez and Kacentano RA ultimately proving the quickest combination to capture the Coril Holdings Grand Prix title.
