Rome, Italy โ May 29, 2026 โ With his first win at theย CSIO Roma 2026, in the fourth prize of the event,ย the โฌ57,000 Speed Challenge CSIO 5*, presented by ENI, theย Whitakerย dynasty’s success story continues. Father, uncle, brothers and cousins, they all have stood on the podium in Rome so many times.
Jack, 24 years old, already competed in several events in Italy before, but this is his debut at the CSIO 5* of Rome. He said that he was impressed by the location, the technical level of the event and of course the quintessentially Roman taste for the good life.

โIโve collected many memories from my parents about this show but this is actually my very first time in Rome. I’ve competed quite a lot in Arezzo, in Gola and things like that but I was missing this incredible show. Itโs just as beautiful as I was expecting itโ.
Jack Whitakerย (GBR) is sticking with his family tradition… The Whitakers have collected an incredible string of results at Villa Borghese and with Jackโs prix presented by Eni of today, they have achieved theirย 20th victoryย here.
โTodayโs class was big. It was probably a bit bigger than it really needed to be today but I’m sure it was good for me. Anyway, Izara des Dames is probably my best horse at the moment. So, I was only really trying to give her another round before the Grand Prix on Sundayโ.

The podium ofย class n. 4 presented by ENIย was completed by Irish youn talentย Tom Wachmanย (IRL) on Kilkenny, who were just over a second slower than the eventual winner (68.04s).

French riderย Mรฉgane Moissonnierย (FRA) earned bronze honors on Kandoo Z, registering no penalties in 68.64 seconds.
In a class withย 52 starters, Jack Whitaker (GBR) had the right mental approach…
โThere wasn’t that many clear rounds. I kind of thought if I just do the turns and do my round, I might be able to finish second or third or fourth or something, but I didn’t think I was going to win it. So, that was a very nice surpriseโ.
Jack, who trains with his father Michael is going to be part of the British team this afternoon, riding Jack Jl. โHe’s not jumped since Ocala where he was very good. So, he’s fresh. He’s feeling good. I’m also fresh and feeling good too. So hopefully together we can pull it offโ.
