Scott Brash & World’s Elite at the Compiègne Classic CSI 3*

Compiègne, France – April 09, 2026 – For its fifth edition, the Compiègne Classic CSI 3* is preparing to bring together the strongest sporting field in its history. World number one Scott Brash (GBR), reigning winner of the Grand Prix of the Saut Hermès, heads a list of starters which to date includes eleven riders from the top hundred in the world. Organized by GrandPrix Events with the support of the City of Compiègne, the Department of Oise and the Hauts-de-France Region, the event is being held from Wednesday April 8 to Saturday April 11, 2026 in the Grand Parc de Compiègne. Entrance is free and free for the public.

The World Number One for the First Time in Compiègne

Less than a week after his triumph under the glass roof of the Grand Palais, Scott Brash (GBR) was preparing to set foot on the sand of the Compiègne equestrian stadium for the very first time in his career. The Scottish rider, double Olympic team champion in London (2012) and Paris (2024), returned to the top of the Longines world ranking last February — ten years after leaving it. His victory in the Grand Prix du Saut Hermès on March 23, 2026, with Hello Chadora Lady, confirms his sparkling form on the threshold of the outdoor season. Its participation in the CSI 3* of Compiègne Classic marks a turning point in the international recognition of the event.

A World-class Field

With eleven representatives of the world’s top hundred, the 2026 edition brings together an unparalleled concentration of talent in the history of the competition. Among the expected figures, Gilles Thomas (5th in the world), European team champion and individual bronze medalist at the Longines European Championships in La Coruña, winner in 2025 of the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping Grand Prix and the New York stage of the Longines Global Champions Tour. Nina Mallevaey (FRA), 7th in the world and best French rider in the Longines rankings, will also be at the start. Aged 25, she is the youngest woman to have entered the world top ten for at least two decades. Compiègne Classic should mark its first competition in Europe of the 2026 season. Simon Delestre (FRA), Jérôme Guéry, Denis Lynch (IRL), Pieter Devos (BEL), Bertram Allen (IRL), Julien Anquetin (FRA), Roger-Yves Bost (FRA) and Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (BRA) complete a field of exceptional quality.

A Record of Entries: More than 1,000 Entry Applications

The participation requests phase has just closed. GrandPrix Events has recorded more than 1,000 applications for all tables – CSI 3*, CSI 1*, Amateurs and Young Horses -, an absolute record since the creation of the event in 2022. This figure testifies to the growing attractiveness of the Compiègne Classic on the international equestrian circuit and the confidence placed in the organization by riders and stables from around the world.

A Strategic Step on the International Calendar

Positioned at the very start of the outdoor season, the Compiègne Classic occupies a special place in the calendar of the International Equestrian Federation. For many riders, the competition constitutes a pivotal stage between the winter tours of southern Europe and the major events of the coming season. The competitions will be directed by Yann Royant, international level 3 course manager, guaranteeing events commensurate with the field entered.

An Exceptional Setting, Open to All

Located in the Grand Parc de Compiègne, on the edge of the forest, the Compiègne Classic benefits from a remarkable natural setting and very high quality infrastructure, developed since the creation of the event thanks to the constant support of public and private partners. Faithful to its vocation as a popular and unifying event, access to all events is free and open to the public during the four days of competition.

Beyond high-level sport, the 2026 edition will offer a rich program of activities accessible to all audiences: children’s village, pony rides, exhibitor village with around thirty stands and five catering areas. Compiègne Classic intends to bring together horse riding enthusiasts, families and the general public around a complete, sporting and friendly experience.
