Ocala, United States – March 04, 2026 – One of the winningest combinations the past years there, Luis Sabino Gonçalves (POR) and Scoop de Septon Z were back in the winner’s circle on Wednesday at World Equestrian Center (WEC) – Ocala. The dynamic charged towards victory in the $32,000 Alltech Speed Challenge CSI 3* – 1.45m.

The dynamic duo proved to be too fast and could not be matched in the 1.45m contest against 37 other combinations. The Portuguese rider “turned on the nitro” aboard the 2014 chestnut Zangersheide stallion (Hunter’s Scendro x Echo van’T Spieveld), burning and turning on the course and still clearing all the obstacles before speeding across the finish line in 56 seconds flat.

Nicholas Dello Joio (USA) and Cornet’s Cambridge conquered reserve honors, matching the clean scorecard of the eventual winners in 57.92 seconds.

Sharn Wordley (NZL) and Champion League rounded out the top three with no penalties too, securing third place in 60.23 seconds.
