Eduardo Álvarez Aznar & Genaro Paulois Power to First in the Grand Prix of Valencia CSI 3*

Valencia, Spain – February 22, 2026 – Spain has been on fire the past two weeks on home soil, winning several important FEI-level classes. It was not different last Sunday during the conclusion of the fourth week of the Moura Tours’ CSI 3* in Valencia. Spain’s most consistent rider the past few years, Eduardo Álvarez Aznar (ESP) rose to the occasion again, teaming up with Genaro Paulois for top honors in the €56,800 Big Tour Grand Prix CSI 3*.

Eleven combinations out of the original forty-three who had lined up for the first round of the 1,50m contest managed to advance to the tiebreaker, however, it was the Spaniard and the 2016 chestnut Selle Français stallion (Aldo du Plessis x Baloubet du Rouet) who claimed the lion’s share of the jackpot, securing the win in flawless fashion while being timed in 35.86 seconds.

Four-tenths of a second was that time between the winners and the runner’s up: Anna Power (GBR) and McQueen. The British duo dashed across the finish line in 36.28 seconds for reserve honors.

Three powerhouse nations of the sport were represented on the podium. The difference to the next two was even tighter as Edward Levy (FRA) guided Griss de Kerglenn to third palce in 36.48 seconds.
