Nadja Peter Steiner Puts the Pedal to the Metal in the €106,000 Speed Challenge CSI 5*

Doha, Qatar – February 11, 2026 – The Longines Arena at Al Shaqab hosted the opening day of H.H. The Amir’s Sword 2026, part of the Doha Equestrian Tour calendar. Competition began across the international programme, with early CSI5* action setting the tone for the week ahead. Nadja Peter Steiner (SUI) teamed up with Nice van’T Zorgvliet to steal the spotlight in the feature class of the day, the €106,000 Speed Challenge CSI 5*.

The Swiss rider blazed aboard the 2013 chestnut Belgian Warmblood mare (Emerald x Heartbreaker), registering no penalties in 66.42 for top honors.

Kristen Vanderveen (USA) & Bull Run’s Jireh

Ever since her arrival to compete at the Doha Equestrian Tour (DET), Kristen Vanderveen (USA) has been a familiar at the top of the final standings of several classes there. It was no different on Wednesday as she guided Bull Run’s Jireh (Uriko x Colman) towards reserve honors, just a half second behind the winning mark.

Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (BRA) & Dorette OLD

Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (BRA) completed the top three, leaving all the poles up with Dorette OLD, securing their place on the podium in 67.67 seconds.
