Philipp Weishaupt Charges to Victory in Speed Challenge CSI 5* at Al Shaqab

Doha, Qatar โ€“ January 30, 2026 โ€“ The fourth and final week ofย H.H. The Father Amirโ€™s Prixย 2026 progressed on Friday atย Al Shaqabย as competition continued across CSI 5*,ย CSI 3*, CSI 1*. Before the main class of the day, the โ‚ฌ29,000 Speed Challenge CSI 5* got things warmed up and it was Philipp Weishaupt (GER) who secured victory with Karaldo.

The German and the 2015 bay Dutch Warmblood gelding (Harley x Chin Chin) left the rest of the competition in the dust, clearing all the 1.45m obstacles before crossing the finish line in 59.87 seconds.

Abdullah Al Sharbatly (KSA) & Valentino

Abdullah Al Sharbatly (KSA) and Valentino were over two seconds slower, still earning reserve honors in 62.33 seconds.

Eve Jobs (USA) & Kannandillo

Eve Jobs (USA) and Kannandillo were just eleven-hundredths of a second behind the Saudi rider, thus earning bronze honors due to their time of 62.44 seconds.
