Galloping for the Gold at Doha: Max Kuhner Shines in the €106,000 Speed Challenge CSI 5*

Doha, Qatar – January 29, 2026 – The fourth week of H.H. The Father Amir’s Prix 2026 opened on Thursday at Al Shaqab, launching the closing stage of the four-tour international series. Staged from 29-31 January, Tour 4 carries a weekend prize fund of €1,217,000 within a total season purse of €3,303,000, as competition began across CSI 5*, CSI 3* and CSI 1*.

Max Kühner (AUT) & Greece 5

In the evening session, Max Kühner (AUT) conquered victory in the €106,000 Speed Challenge CSI 5* with Greece 5, galloping across the timers in 65.91 after a fault-free round.

Scott Brash (GBR) & Hello Jefferson

The best rider so far in the tour, this time Scott Brash (GBR) had to settle for second place, doing in 66.56 seconds aboard Hello Jefferson.

Duarte Seabra (POR) & Fernhill Leonardo

Duarte Seabra (POR) and Fernhill Leonardo flew towards bronze honors, registering no penalties in 67.98 seconds.

“I’m very pleased with Greece today. She’s a very fast horse, and the course was good for us. I’m happy with the result. And Al Shaqab is a fantastic venue for us as riders, it’s good for experienced horses in the top sport, and it’s also a great place for younger horses.”
