Déjà Vu Again! Steve Guerdat Wins the Geneva Cup for the Fifth Time!

Geneva, Switzerland – December 13, 2025 – What consistency! This afternoon, Steve Guerdat (SUI) won the 110,000 Geneva Cup CSI 5* — the legendary and formidable combination class — for the fifth time!

After his hat-trick with Venard de Cerisy, he rode Albfuehren’s Iashin Sitte to victory on Saturday. Despite saying last night that he was ‘lacking confidence’ after a forced break of several months due to a herniated disc, he quickly found his rhythm!

In a jump-off with seven participants, each faster than the last, nothing was certain. Scott Brash (SUI) and Hello Jefferson were clearly in great form and set a high mark to beat, but Martin Fuchs (SUI) and Conner Jei lowered the reference time by a full second. The winner of the Rolex Grand Prix in Aachen this summer took every risk, seemingly flying over the last fence.

However, his compatriot and friend Steve Guerdat (SUI) was not going to give up easily, determined to defend his title to the end. Thanks to a perfect line and a good gallop, he was already ahead after three obstacles and showed no signs of slowing down. So, in front of packed stands, it was a fine Swiss double that concluded the event.

Final Results – 110,000 Geneva Cup CSI 5*

2) Martin Fuchs (SUI) & Conner Jei – 0 / 0 – 28.52

3) Piergiorgio Bucci (ITA) & Cortez van’T Klein Asdonk Z – 0 / 0 – 28.98
