Andres Vereecke Leads All-Belgian Podium in the €110,000 Grand Prix of the Province of Liège CSI 4*

Liège, Belgium – October 26, 2025 – Belgian riders showed their top form on Sunday before their countrymen, sweeping the podium of the €110,000 Grand Prix of the Province of Liège CSI 4* at the Jumping International de Liège CSI 4* & CSI 2*. Amongst the top three, it was Andres Vereecke (BEL) and Perle d’Or van de Gaverstede who stole the spotlight, claiming top honors in the feature class of the week there.

Forty-eight combinations entered the ring for the first round of the 1.55m challenge but only four of them advanced to the tiebreaker. The home crowd was very confident about since three out of the four finalists represented the host nation, Belgium. Stephanie Macieira (BRA) and Novak de Kalvarie were the sole foreign pair that had advanced to the tiebreaker. Unfortunately, the duo were fast but had two rails down, leaving them in fourth place.

So, it all came down to the three Belgian riders. Andres Vereecke‘s (BEL) conservative approach on Perle d’Or van de Gaverstede paid off as they delivered the only double clear for the win.

Jos Verlooy (BEL) and FTS Killossery Konfusion registered the fastest time amongst the four finalists but their time of 42.32 seconds came at the expense of one rail down, having to settle for second place.

Nathan Budd (BEL) and Touardo Blue Z also knocked down a pole along the way, rounding out the top three in 44.20 seconds.
