Cian O’Connor & Canbella Blue PS Win the Stephex Trophy CSIO 3*

Vejer de la Frontera, Spain – October 25, 2025 – Irish riders continue to be on top form here at the fifth Andalucía October Tour, which is kindly sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism and External Relations of the Andalucían Regional Government, and the Provincial Council of Cádiz. After their young team winning Nations Cup the previous day, on Saturday, one of their best riders had a scorching win in the 1.50 Stephex Trophy CSIO 3* which was held in the grass David Broome arena. Cian O’Connor (IRL) and the very talented 11-year-old mare, Canbella Blue PS, (Cantolar x Chacco-Blue), owned by Karlswood Partners, absolutely flew around the second phase of the class, stopping the clock way ahead of their nearest rival, in just 21.14 seconds. This isn’t their only podium place here at the, tour as last Sunday, they were also third in the Grand Prix.

In second place and just over 2s behind was the American rider, Carlee McCutcheon (USA) with Aralyn Blue, a mare by Chacco-Blue x Ludwigs AS. Third was the Dutch rider, Rogier Linssen (NED) with Moneypenny; and in fourth was Spanish rider, Armando Trapote (ESP) who led the class for a long time with Caept’n Hook. In fifth was the Austrian rider, Max Kuhner (AUT) with EIC Quantum Robin V.
